Day 1- Arrival and Exploring Fort Kochi

Arrive in Cochin, where you'll be greeted by our chauffeur and transferred to your hotel in the Fort Kochi area.

Check in and begin your exploration with a visit to historic Fort Kochi. Stroll through its charming streets, adorned with colonial-era buildings and iconic Chinese fishing nets. Visit landmarks such as St. Francis Church, the oldest European church in India, and the beautiful Santa Cruz Basilica. Delve into the region's history at Mattancherry Palace, also known as the Dutch Palace, and wander through Jew Town, renowned for its antique shops and the Paradesi Synagogue.

Conclude the day with a traditional Kathakali performance, immersing yourself in the vibrant cultural heritage of Kerala.

Day 2- A day trip to the Athirapally Falls

Embark on a day trip from Fort Kochi to Athirappilly Falls, a scenic 2–3-hour drive through picturesque landscapes. Witness the awe-inspiring "Niagara of India," where a thundering cascade plunges amidst lush greenery, creating a breathtaking spectacle. Explore the trekking trails offering panoramic views of the falls and the surrounding forest.

Enjoy local cuisine at nearby eateries, savoring the authentic flavors of Kerala. On your return journey, consider stopping at the nearby Vazhachal Waterfalls, another stunning natural wonder that offers a serene contrast to the grandeur of Athirappilly, making your day trip even more memorable.

Day 3- A day cruise on the Vembanad Lake

A way to get intimate with the bewitching waterways of the Vembanad lake in the heartland of Kerala.  You get to journey upon a 'Kettuvalam', a traditional houseboat, that was once used to carry cargoes of rice and spices up and down these same waterways for centuries. The service and food onboard also faithfully capture a dying tradition of the backwaters for you to sample firsthand.

Day 4- A day at Marari

Check into your gorgeous beach resort at Marari. Spend the day exploring the resort's organic garden, visiting charming local villages, and relaxing by the sea. Enjoy the serene ambiance and soak in the coastal beauty, creating a perfect blend of relaxation and cultural immersion.

Day 5- Drive to Thekkady

After breakfast, check out and drive to Thekkady. Check into your property and relax for the evening.

Day 6- A day at Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary

After an early breakfast, embark on an adventurous nature walk through the Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary. Your local guide will share thrilling stories and essential information, enriching your experience as you witness scenic vistas and possibly spot some wildlife. In the late afternoon, enjoy a serene boat ride on Periyar Lake within the Periyar Tiger Reserve. This enhances your chances of viewing wildlife as animals frequently come to the lake to drink. You may spot herds of Gaur, Sambar, and wild boars grazing in the grasslands near the shores. Additionally, a variety of avian fauna, including darters, egrets, and kingfishers, can be seen resting on dead tree trunks protruding from the lake.

Day 5- Departure

Head back to Kochi airport to board your flight and fly back with memories of a lifetime.
